Air ConditioningMore than 70% of all new cars sold have air conditioning (A/C) systems fitted as standard. The system cools the inside of the car in hot weather, assists the demister in damp conditions by removing excess moisture and keeps out nasty traffic fumes. As part of the vehicle's annual service, it’s A/C system should be checked. This will include checks on refrigerant quantity, pressure and temperature, refrigerant hoses, drive belts and wiring harnesses, and changing the filters. Every two years the filter/dryer should be changed. To return to the previous page, click here |
